SA: SA gas supplies should return to normal today: Santos
Gas company Santos says gas supplies to major South Australian industries should returnto normal by midday today.
The company imposed restrictions on major industries yesterday following a shutdownat its Moomba gas plant in the state's north after corrosion was found on a section ofpipeline.
Santos says spare parts were flown to the area where crews worked to repair the damaged section.
Santos spokesman GRAEME BETHUME says the company aims to have regular supplies returnedby midday.
SA Energy Minister WAYNE MATTHEW says all available gas remaining in the pipeline systemwill now be directed to Adelaide.
The state government has also issued restriction notices to major industries, includingthe state's electricity generators and the Port Stanvac oil refinery, which took effectlast night.
