NSW: Alleged Sydney bomb-maker a danger to the community: court

SYDNEY, Jan 11 AAP - A bomb detonated in Sydney's west was today compared with the
devastating Oklahoma City blast when the man charged with its construction fronted court.
Mark John Avery, 28, appeared in Parramatta Bail Court, charged with unlawful making
or possession of explosives, possession of dangerous articles, and trespassing on commonwealth
land.
He allegedly detonated a home-made bomb at 6.45am (AEDT) yesterday, destroying an abandoned
car in a paddock at Doonside.
